Fr. Arokia Raj Doss

Reverend Father Arokia Raj Mahimai Doss, MSSCC, is from India and was ordained a Catholic priest on December 28, 2003. He is a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

In November, 2019, Father Raj moved to the United States. He is currently assigned administrator of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Edgefield, and St. William Church in Ward. He also has sacramental responsibilities at Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield, SC.

Fr. Emmanuel Ekwelum

Reverend Father Emeka Emmanuel Ekwelum, MSSCC is from Nigeria and moved to the United States in 2019. He was the first child born to Mr. Emmanuel Emeka Ekwelum and Mrs. Nkiruka Eunice Ekwelum.

He attended Father Cloonan Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Onitsha; the Learning Field International School, Housing Estate, Onitsha; Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha; Claretian Institute of Philosophy, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria; and Seat of Wisdom Major Seminary, Ulakwo, Owerri, IMO State.

The date of his First Religious Profession was August 24, 2010; his Perpetual Profession date was September 15, 2014, Diaconate Ordination, February 7, 2015; and Priestly Ordination, August 8, 2015.

His religious congregation is Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (Founded in Secondigliano, Napoli in Italy by St. Gaetano Errico).

Larry M. Deschaine, Ph.D., P.E.

Deacon Dr. Larry M. Deschaine, P.E. is originally from New England. He is a direct descendant of the Penobscot Native American Indian Chief Madockawando and serves on the Diocesan Native American Ministry Advisory Committee. He and his wife Kim moved to the CSRA in 1995.

A lifelong learner, he holds four University degrees in three fields of study; Science (PhD, Chalmers University, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2014), Theology (MA, St. Leo University, FLA, 2016) and Engineering (MIT, Cambridge, MA, 1984; University of Connecticut, 1992) and is a member of the prestigious Society of Catholic Scientists.

He was awarded by the Vice President of the United States of America (Al Gore, 1998) for his work in business process optimization. He also won Grand Prize for his optimization research and application from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (2017). He is a collegiate individual gold medalist (1982) and set 5 national team records (1981-1982) in the sport of shooting.

Permanent Diaconate Ordination by Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goose Creek, SC (2017). He is incardinated in the Diocese of Charleston.
